So.. as the title says, I have never watched Lord Of The Rings. Every time this is brought up, I am told I MUST watch it. So... I am going to watch it... and I will report back here with my thoughts on the matter... let's hope I don't spend 12 hours of my life watching a group of guys walking through the forest?

What is 3 hours and 48 minutes? A walk in the park... or a forest? with some friends? short friends?

hour 2/(almost)4: so far it has mostly been walking in a forest.. though, credit where credit is due, is hasn't ONLY been that HAHA - safe to say I am hooked and at this point I am excited to see what is next.. they have just entered the mines after Frodo solved the riddle (though it is generous to call it that, like come on that one was easy). Got a feeling there aren't going to be any dwarves like Gimli thinks? just getting that vibe? We will see. I hope Bill makes it home okay. and WTF was in that water?

Okay. movie 1 is over. and boy what a trip! Final thoughts: I underestimated how drawn in I was going to get. I am actually so excited for the second one and somewhat glad I am getting to it late because FUCK waiting a year for the second one because what a cliff hanger. Gandalf has to return right? and Gollum? we gotta learn more about him. Actually shocked that after 25 years I haven't had more spoilers. Anyway, gonna take a wee break then onto the next one!

Alright. We have waited long enough! It is time at last to watch number 2! The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers! Will Gandalf return? Probably. Will Frodo and Samwise make it to Isengard? Probably. Will they get Merry and Pippin back? Maybe? Will someone else die? Most definitely. Will I remember to buy ranch? Probably not. Let's see!

abort snack mission. Giant unknown spider has made itself comfy in my kitchen and Goose is sleeping so snacks have to wait (it is living on the ceiling and my Hobbit height cannot reach to remove it). back to the movie!

well then. Movie 2 comes to an end. Summary: Legolas Thank God Gandalf is back - kinda knew that was gonna happen though xD The Ents are kinda cool if not a little slow Legolas Gimli is my spirit animal Lots of side quests in this one Not sure if I liked it less or more than the first movie, tbh so far just feels like it's 1 big movie not 2 separate movies. More Legolas screen time definitely didn't hurt. Also Legolas. Wee break then onto the last movie!

Wow... Alright... all 3 movies are over. Final thought on the 3rd movie: Epic battles Legolas Faramir's daddy is a piece of word and I am glad he burned to death Why not more Legolas? Aragorn will be a great King! Samwise really came through as a hero tbh Smeagol is really a troubled soul and I feel for him.. Kinda sad we didn't see more Legolas. Great movies though and really glad I watched them. Next will be the hobbit movies, which I will definitely have to watch!

@crying Except half of them weren't even walking to the volcano... and honestly the ones who weren't are the ones who made the movie the best!
